Dahle Family Dentistry
A Great Dentist

Technology

Your safety, comfort, and efficiency are essential to us. We use leading-edge technology at Dahle Family Dentistry that helps us deliver all three for the most stress-free, positive dental experience possible.

Please take a look at our current technology, and don't hesitate to call us if you have a question or need to schedule an appointment.

Intraoral Cameras

It can be difficult to look in a little hand mirror and see what your dentist sees during a dental exam, so instead, we use intraoral cameras. These small handheld digital cameras deliver magnified images of your mouth while your dentist performs your examination.

Using the intraoral camera, our team shares images with you on the monitor, so you can see what we see. We can show you issues like cavities, damaged or worn teeth, and old or broken fillings.

As you review the images together, your dentist can explain why treating the problem is important, how it will benefit you, and what's involved. After treatment is complete, we can show you the results so you can see the improvement in your smile. We can also store images of the session in your digital patient record for future reference.

Nitrous Oxide or "Laughing Gas"

At our office, we offer nitrous oxide, a type of sedation that eases the anxiety and stress you might feel during a dental procedure. The benefit of sedation dentistry is you no longer have to skip dental appointments because of anxiety. With the help of nitrous oxide, you can get the care you need without experiencing stress or nervousness.

Also called laughing gas, nitrous oxide is blended with oxygen, and the mixture is delivered through a small nose mask. As you breathe normally, nitrous oxide’s effects come on quickly. You will feel very relaxed and calm and experience a sense of well-being. Some patients get so comfortable and relaxed that they even doze off during treatment!

A trained team member will monitor you during your procedure for your safety. When your treatment’s finished, they will turn off the nitrous so you can inhale pure oxygen for several minutes and feel refreshed and alert enough to drive yourself home safely.

Digital Impressions

If you ever had a paste dental impression taken, you probably found it to be a long and uncomfortable process. Our Medit intraoral scanner produces digital impressions that do away with the entire messy process.

Instead, we move the scanner over your teeth, and the resulting digital image is a 3-D virtual impression. Digital impressions are very detailed and accurate and allow us to produce restorations like crowns, bridges, dentures, and veneers with a high degree of precision and beautiful, realistic results.

Panoramic X-Rays

A panoramic x-ray is digital imaging that allows our dental team to view all of your teeth and surrounding structures, like bones and sinuses, in a single image. Although it doesn't provide enough detail to see cavities, a panoramic x-ray can help us diagnose jaw joint problems (TMJ), advanced gum disease, bone abnormalities, impacted wisdom teeth, and tumors.

It's also interesting to look at a panoramic x-ray and see developing teeth in children, which provides information on how they are forming and anticipate how they may erupt.

Digital X-Rays and Digital Sensors

We use digital x-rays because they are the only way to get a full picture of your dental situation. Using digital x-rays instead of film also reduces your radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent.

Digital x-rays are invaluable because they allow our dentist to diagnose infections and cavities that might not be visible during a routine examination. For your comfort, we use digital sensors that fit easily in your mouth and capture highly detailed x-ray images. Dr. Daniel Dahle then uses the x-rays to determine the safest, most appropriate treatment needed to restore your oral health.

Our patients appreciate that digital x-rays make understanding their oral health needs easier. Seeing is believing, and when you feel informed, you feel empowered to make confident treatment decisions and take control of your oral health.

We store your x-rays safely and securely on our in-house network so our team can easily access them as needed.

Digital Records

We would rather spend time with our amazing patients than sift through mountains of paperwork. All our patient records are digital and stored safely on our secure in-house network.

Digital records help improve our efficiency because our team members can access your dental history at the touch of a button. They can also immediately update your patient information, so your most current details are always available.

Your digital patient record includes your dental and medical history, list of prescription medications, x-rays, intraoral images, and treatment plans.
