A dental implant is a miniature titanium screw that acts as a replacement tooth root. Dr. Daniel places the implant surgically in the jawbone at our Ontario dental office, so you don’t have to visit a specialist.
As the implant heals, a process called osseointegration occurs, where bone grows around the implant to create a stable foundation. After several months of healing, our implant dentist attaches a dental crown (the part of the tooth you can see), so you can smile confidently and chew comfortably.
If you get multiple implants, we will use an implant bridge or implant denture to restore chewing function.
